Description

The Dissolvable Pump-Out Plug from Shale Oil Tools is designed to be run below production packers or tubing to provide well control while installing ESPs, gas lift or other production equipment.  The plug core is expended with pressure and dissolves in wellbore fluid, leaving a clean wellbore for production activities. The plugs pump out predictably and, as opposed to aluminum POPs, dissolve, leaving a restriction-free wellbore.

The plug core's dissolution is based on time, temperature and salinity (chloride content) and occurs volumetrically based on the exposed surface area.  Plug metallurgy can be dialed in to dissolve as slowly or quickly as you like - giving you confidence that your well flow is controlled for the duration of your operation.

The DPOP is a superior alternative to ceramic disk subs that are vulnerable during rig handling and often burst at unpredictable pressures or require a slick line intervention to break the disks.
