Description

The patent-pending SureStop ESP Safety Catch™ from Shale Oil Tools is run in-string with your ESP completion to provide insurance against problematic fishing operations and lost-in-hole costs of abandoned ESPs.

A dissolvable lock feature prevents the slips from engaging during installation, allowing you to freely work the string up and down as needed.  Post installation, the locking mechanism dissolves so that the slips engage with downward movement - preventing your ESP from travelling downhole.

Unlike traditional ESP catches that require a separate wireline run for installation, leave a wellbore restriction, and require a retrieval intervention, the SureStop is installed with your ESP, freely moves uphole, and is extracted along with the ESP.
